The EDPS is actively preparing to enhance its role as a regulator for market surveillance and artificial intelligence (AI) supervision. Recognising the growing impact of AI on critical infrastructure and market operations, the EDPS is developing comprehensive guidance to ensure the safe and ethical deployment of AI technologies within EU Institutions and to work as supervisor of the AI operations carried out by EUIs.
